Easy Tips For Selecting From The Many Designs Of Shower Heads For The Master Bath

An easy DIY plumbing project that many people can complete on their own is replacing your old shower heads with a new ones. Taking off your old shower head and putting on a new one is simple and quick. There are a variety of prices you can pay for a new shower head. The amount you pay will depend on the feature you select. A good shower head without any fancy bells and whistles can be picked up for around ten dollars.

You may need to pay several hundred dollars for a fancy shower head for your shower with lots of features. No matter what type of shower head you select there will be some basic things you need to consider. The first thing you will need to decide is whether you would prefer fixed or hand held shower heads. Fixed shower heads are mounted to your wall and do not move. They will sometimes feature adjustable arms that allow you to change the direction of the water flow.

You will have greater flexibility if you select a hand held shower head. It will work just like a fixed shower head if you leave it on its cradle. You can also remove it from the cradle to spry the water in just the right spot. It is great for washing pets or small children. Using a low flow shower head will help you save both water and power. With less water used you will spend less heating it up. To save even more water think about getting a shower head with a cut off valve. These let you temporarily stop the flow of water while you soap up or wash your hair. There are also special shower heads which work great if there is low water pressure in your home. These high pressure shower heads make it so the water comes out of the shower head strongly.
